The City of Goldsboro will host a free shred event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Herman Park Center, 901 E. Ash St. Protect yourself from identity theft by bringing your personal documents and records to be safely shredded at no cost to you. For more information, contact City Clerk Laura Getz at 919-580-4330. There is a limit of three document boxes or 75 pounds of paper per attendee.
