Public Hearing Notice
City of Goldsboro Council Meeting

Notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Goldsboro City Council at 7 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021, to consider the following applications. The Goldsboro City Council will hold their meeting in the City Council Chambers, 214 N. Center St. in the Historic City Hall building. 

Due to COVID-19, attendance at the City Council meeting is limited to 15 citizens in the Council Chambers to allow for social distancing. Overflow seating is available in the Anteroom, located in City Hall and the Large Conference Room, City Hall Addition. The meeting will also be streamed live on the City’s Facebook and YouTube pages, links are available at https://www.goldsboronc.gov/mayor-of-goldsboro/city-councilminutes/.

Amendments to the City of Goldsboro’s Unified Development Ordinance:

The following Sections of the Unified Development Ordinance under consideration for amendment are as follows: Article 1 – General Provisions, Article 2 – Approvals, Article 3 – Appeals, Variances and Interpretations, Article 4 – Enforcement, Article 5 – Zoning, Article 6 – Supplemental Regulations, Article 7 – Subdivision Design Standards, Article 8 – Administrative Agencies, and Article 9 – Definitions.  Amendments are mandated by North Carolina General Assembly to conform with the reorganization of the state’s planning and development regulation statutes known as Chapter 160D.

The full text amendment may be reviewed in the office of Planning and Community Development located at 200 North Center Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at the City’s website www.goldsboronc.gov.

All interested persons are invited to attend this public hearing and to be heard.  Handicapped persons needing assistance or aids should contact the Clerk’s office prior to the meeting at 919-580-4361 at least four (4) days prior to the meeting.
