Masks Optional in City Facilities

Face coverings/masks will no longer be required in City of Goldsboro facilities and vehicles.

The City Council voted on March 21, 2022, to make face coverings/masks optional for employees and visitors.

Public health experts advise that face coverings should continue to be worn by those who are at a high risk of severe illness, those who are not up-to-date on their vaccinations, and those who live in, work in, or visit certain high-risk settings.

Employees and visitors are encouraged to follow the 3Ws (wait 6 feet apart, wear a mask, and wash hands) and other CDC, NCDHHS, and WCHD applicable guidelines.
