Downtown Development Seeks Input on 2020-21 Public Art Selections

The public is invited to visit to share their input regarding the 2020-21 public art selections. The Public Art Steering Committee has created a shortlist of potential art pieces for nine locations in Downtown Goldsboro — four round-a-bouts (intersection of Center and Chestnut, Mulberry, Spruce and Pine streets) and five additional platforms (the 100 block of the northbound side of Center Street, the entrance of the John Street Public Parking Lot, the center medians of the 100 block of N. Center Street, 100 block of S. Center Street and 300 block of S. Center Street, and at the intersection of Elm and Center streets).

The pieces are available to view online, including dimensions and descriptions. We are asking the public to review and comment with their feedback on each sculpture – good, bad and indifferent.

The Public Art Steering Committee will use the online comments as a guide to select the pieces that will be installed in October.
