The GWTA Bus Transfer Center is the home to the Goldsboro Wayne Transit Authority (GWTA), formerly Gateway, and acts as a hub for transit services throughout the county. The Transfer Center began service in September 2015, and was built with the intent to create a seamless multi-modal transportation center, linking transportation facilities and to provide improved mobility for our citizens. The 4,800 square foot facility offers a waiting room, ticket window and amenities for guests, as well as offices and facilities for GWTA.

The City of Goldsboro partnered with the Arts Council of Wayne County to install public art from local artist Eric Shreffler. The pieces displayed are inspired by the African American Music Trail, a cultural heritage trail of which includes Wayne County.
